Nicola Conte’s name is inevitably connected to the nu jazz revolution of the 90s. As a musician, band leader, dj, hyperactive producer and style avant-gardist, he is one of the most important and influential artists in Europe responsible for taking back jazz onto the dancefloors. Born in 1964, Conte formed the artist collective Fez in the early ‘90s in his native city of Bari, released albums for Blue Note, Impulse, Schema, Emarcy, Far Out and MPS. This innovative jazz revivalist has recently started again to be active as a dj, presenting his set called COSMIC ECHOES – Cosmic Afro & Jazz & contemporary sounds.
