DZIJAN EMIN & THE MAGICAL ORCHESTRA

After 5 years of active work and investment in the promotion of the Macedonian jazz scene, by organizing jazz events and founding a Big Band Orchestra, the Association of Jazz Musicians and Free Artists – ZJM Skopje sets itself a new challenge that enriches its portfolio with another activity. Within the Association starts working the publishing house ZJM Records. Through this activity, ZJM will continue to affirm and popularize Macedonian jazz music, opening new roads for its presentation and promotion everywhere in the world, publishing digital and print music releases.

The Magical Orchestra that performs original compositions composed by the main conductor of the ZJM Big Band, orchestrator, composer, and multi-instrumentalist Dzijan Emin, is consisted of members of the ZJM Big Band Orchestra and stringers from the Macedonian Philharmonic Orchestra. Dzijan Emin is one of the leading contemporary musicians in Macedonia and the region, who gained a great reputation around the world due to the collaboration with world-famous musicians such as Derrick May, Juan Atkins, Jeff Mills, Francesco Tristano, but also Oscar and Grammy-winning artists. as A.R. Rahman, Frank London, Malcolm Byrne, William Parker, Bob Stewart, Francesco Bearzati, Luca Aquino, Gianluca Petrela, Peter Herbert, Damo Suzuki, Air, Gloria Estefan, Rico The Wizard (Duff Punk). In this project, Emin makes a bold and not-so-typical combination consisted of top jazz performers and classical instrumentalists, combining the rigor of an orchestral performance with the openness of jazz expression; spiced with subtle electronics.
